Prabhu Deva to burn the dance floor again
Dancing sensation Prabhu Deva will be back in his elements in his next Telugu, Hindi and Tamil film, a dance-centric movie ‘Lakshmi’ which will be released in the two Telugu states. “It is a dance-centric movie to be released in Telugu besides Tamil and Hindi languages since his popularity as a dancing star has reached pan-India. It will be a take on modern dancing styles and Prabhu has done a fabulous job,” says a Chennai source.
Prabhu became a dancing sensation with ‘Chikku Bukku Raile’ (Gentleman’) to ‘Mukkala Mukala,’ (‘Premikudu’) and grooved with dancing diva Madhuri Dixit in the chartbuster ‘Ke Sera Sera’ in `Pukar’ to his latest foot-tapping number in ‘Chal Maar’ in recent Hindi film ‘Devi’ and still retained his grace and charm.
“Prabhu was popular choreographer and composed dances for Chiranjeevi in ‘Rowdy Alludu’ and ‘Mutta Mestri’ and also directed Telugu films like ‘Nuvvu Vasthanante Ne Vaddantana’.
Hence, he is very popular among Telugu viewers for his stylized dancing and the film will garner great openings in the two Telugu states,” adds the source. Directed by A L Vijay, who made hit films like ‘Madarasipatnam’ and ‘Saivam’ is exploring a dance-centric movie to expand his creative horizons. Undoubtedly, Prabhu Deva, who is a great admirer of Michael Jackson, is all set to burn the dance floor once again with his contemporary dance form.
