Update: 2018-04-23 11:35 IST

Hotshot Rana is the only new-generation star to tread his own path than repeating himself in cliched star-centric movies like most of his peers. After playing the role of a naval officer in the national award-winning film 'Ghazi', the actor is all set to essay the role of an Indian Air Force Pilot in his upcoming Hindi-Telugu bilingual film to be produced by a Mumbai-based corporate company.

"Rana, in-principle, was impressed with the role and the path-breaking storyline and found it to be another challenging role in his happening career but nothing is confirmed yet," says the source.

The Rs 40 crore extravaganza will be produced by a corporate house. According to the source, director Teja will be helming this prestigious project which revolves around the 1971 Indo-Pak war and Rana hacs a mission to accomplish in the war-based gripping saga which is inspired by a real-life story.

"Special effects in the film will be done in Los Angeles to give the audience a visual-spectacle. The team will do the miniature work and design action sequences involving two fighter planes and airports besides other war equipment to make it an authentic war-centric magnum opus," the source concludes.

Recently, Rana-Teja's political thriller 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri' rocked the box office, hence the teaming up of the crazy actor-director duo once again is bound to trigger interest among the viewers and trade circles as well. Right now, Rana is busy shooting for his Hindi film 'Haathi Mere Saathi' and he is going to enthral the pan-India viewers again with a war movie with a touch of patriotism.
