Ravi Teja’s pan-India appeal expands

Update: 2018-04-30 12:03 IST

Interestingly, seasoned star Ravi Teja's Hindi dubbing rights of his upcoming film 'NelaTickettu' was sold for a fancy price of Rs 12 crore, which is more than the Telugu satellite rights of the film.

Usually, big Telugu stars attract huge rates for Telugu satellite rights but this time around, Ravi Teja has set a new record of sorts. "Telugu satellite rights were reportedly sold for Rs 8 crore, while Hindi dubbing rights for Rs 12 crore, surely a new beginning for Telugu film stars," says an industry source.

No doubt, Ravi Teja has silenced his detractors and proved that his popularity is still kicking and alive even across pan-India. "Ravi Teja's pan-India appeal has been expanding over the years. Being an action star, Hindi small screen viewers are watching his films with lot of interest, so in the days to come, Ravi Teja's films will be bought for bigger prices by Hindi film distributors and channels. ," adds the source.

Apparently, producers of the 'Kick' star will be happy with this development, since they can pay his remuneration by selling off the Hindi dubbing rights. Thanks to an increase in the number of Hindi dubbings for Telugu films, the producers are able to break-even, despite over shooting the budget at times. It is time for the 'Balupu' star to throw a big party for his friends.
