Dasari’s birthday marked as Director's Day

The Telugu film fraternity has resolved to celebrate the birthday of veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao,  falling on May 4 as 'Directors Day’ and in this connection, many directors of Tollywood would be organising a grand function. 

“Dasari brought star status to a film director, enhanced his prestige and restored the respect of a director," said a director. “A life-size statue of the legendary director will be unveiled on the occasion since he has attained an iconic status," he adds. Led by N Shankar, more than 80-odd directors will be participating in the grand event.
