Madhura Sreedhar gets into action mode

Update: 2018-05-04 11:47 IST

After nearly a gap of five years, director Madhura Sreedhar is all set to direct Allu Sirish in the remake of the Malayalam hit film ‘ABCD’.

The director who made love stories like ‘Its My Love Story’ and ‘Snehageetham’ will now be helming an action film for the first time. The producer-director’s last release ‘Back Bench Student’ failed to set the box office on fire, hence, the director in him took a back seat and produced films like ‘Ladies & Gentlemen’ and ‘Maaya’.

On the other hand, he was looking for the right kind of script to wield the megaphone once again. “It is true that Allu Sirish and Madhura Sreedhar had a couple of meetings and discussed about the character of a confused desi to be played by Allu Sirish,” says a source, close to the unit.

Allu Sirish, who is working with new-age directors like Vi Anand has chosen to work with Madhura Sreedhar for his next big-ticket film to go on floors from June. “It will be an interesting combination to look out for,” the source concludes.
