Cherry sets a record in dubbing rights
Reigning star Ram Charan Tej who is basking in the glory of the record-shattering hit ‘Rangasthalam,’ has clocked another record, even before the release of his next big-ticket film.
“The distributor has bought the Hindi dubbing rights of Ram Charan’s film with director Boyapati Srinu for a whopping Rs 21 crore, the highest for new-age mega heroes. Undoubtedly, the Telugu stars are fetching more money for Hindi rights these days,” says a Hindi film distributor. “It is the highest price in recent times since Ram Charan’s pan-India appeal has expanded in leaps and bounds,” he adds.
With Ram Charan prepping to go in for a makeover with a beefed up look for the anger-driven role and sweating it out in the gym for that muscled look, the action adventure has already created a lot of buzz within and outside the film industry. “Charan is leaving no stone unturned to deliver another blockbuster to keep up the momentum of his hits,’ he points out.
And also, his teaming up with director Boyapati Srinu, who is known for action flicks like ‘Simha’ and ‘Legend,’ has weaved an action-based love story for Ram Charan to befit the ‘Dhruva’ star’s larger-than-life image. No doubt, the heady combination of Cherry and Boyapati has triggered huge expectations and hype, while leading producer DVV Danayya is laughing all the way to the bank.”
