The New Jersey General Assembly in the United States of America has conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award on veteran actor and comedian Rajendra Prasad.  Sharing the news with the media in Hyderabad on Saturday, Prasad said, “There is more good than bad in the Telugu film industry, and the audience must leave out the bad and the accept only the good,” while referring to the recent controversies.

Prasad said that the Telugu film fraternity was able to provide wholesome entertainment to the classes and the masses alike only because there were good people in it. Otherwise, it would not be possible to entertain them for more than eight decades, he added.  The veteran actor said that he was able to complete 41 years in the film industry only because the directors and producers were able to create special roles for him.

He thanked the General Assembly for conferring the award on him and said that he was able to get the award only to the patronage extended by the Telugu people for the last four decades.
