Ace producer and distributor Dil Raju is having a good time at the box-office both as a producer as well as distributor. He has become a hit-machine of sorts and making 6 to 7 films every year, ahead of other leading producers in T-town.

Unwilling to negotiate rates for dubbing rights for each film, he has reportedly inked a deal for Rs 23 crore with Umesh Gupta, owner of Aditya Music for six movies. “According to the deal, barring Mahesh Babu’s film, Dil Raju has given the Hindi dubbing rights of his other six films including ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ and ‘Lovers.’

No one could enter into such a deal till now in T-town” says a source, close to the unit. “Trusting the judgement of Dil Raju as a producer who has most number of hits including ‘Nenu Local’ to ‘MCA’ last year, Umesh Gupta bought the rights of all his films and is planning to release them across India,” adds the source.

Actually, Umesh Gupta is the leading audio company owner and buys the audio rights of almost all big films in Telugu. He later became a producer by releasing the Tamil dubbed film ‘Khakee’ and minted crores. “Now he has become a distributor and buying Hindi dubbing rights of Telugu films after tying up with Hindi channels. He has realised the expanding eye-balls for Telugu films among Hindi viewers and has signed the big deal,” the source concludes.
