Finally, Krish to direct NTR biopic?

At last, seasoned star Balakrishna has reportedly resolved to join hands with ace director Krish for his much-awaited NTR Biopic. The actor-director team tasted big success with their earlier historical film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ and they share a good rapport on and off the sets, says a source, close to the unit. “Balakrishna in-principle, has given his nod to work with Krish since he is also one of the producers of the film.

They don’t want to compromise on any aspect in showcasing the life of the legendary actor-turned-politician in terms of look, making values, period settings and costumes drama. Krish is the best choice to make an authentic biopic and he can also bring in technical finesse to this period saga that starts from 1923 and ends in 1984,” the source adds.

Right now, Krish is making inroads into B-town after ‘Rowdy Rathore’ and now with Kangana starrer ‘Manikarnika,’ he has become a sought-after director for period movies and also became a good friend of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a master in crafting historical films. Actually, Krish has established a production house and co-producing films these days. It has to be seen whether he will just direct the biopic or would join hands in the production as well.

“Krish may restrict himself to direction since it is a magnum opus and has best of team in cinematographer Santhosh Thundiyil, composer Keeravani and art director Ramakrishna of ‘Rangasthalam’ fame on board to deliver a visual-wonder,” the source concludes. After Teja walked out, reports of Balakrishna turning director gained strength.

Later, the names of directors like K Raghavendra Rao, Chandra Siddharth and Deva Katta started making rounds. No doubt, Balakrishna and team have found the right replacement in Krish who is hailed as a director with an intellectual bent of mind in T-town. Good combo in place, although it took some time.
