Nara Rohit hits gym toshed kilos

After Ram Charan who was seen playing a deaf person in ‘Rangasthalam,’ now, it is the turn of young actor Nara Rohit to essay the role of a dumb guy in his upcoming film ‘NR 18’ with a tagline-World of the Wordless.

Director P B Manjunath seems to have inspired the ‘Asura’ star to shed some pounds to fit into the well-etched role. “It is true that Rohit has hit the gym and would be shedding four to five kg in three weeks. He is undergoing strenuous work outs and truly sweating it out. Hence, the shooting of the much-awaited film will begin from mid-June once he attains the lean and mean look,” says a source, close to the unit.

Apart from donning an experimental role, the actor seems to have gone into the skin of the character and going for a make-over of sorts. “Rohit is doing the right thing. Since challenging roles rarely come by and his attempts to get into shape will help him to have an edge over his rivals,” the source adds. Vamsi Rajesh has provided the story and dialogues, while it is being produced by Narayana Rao Atluri under the banner of Sri Vaishnavi Creations.

Dr Sowjanya Atluri is presenting the movie. Actually, Nara Rohit, who  has hit a lean patch with duds like ‘Balakrishnudu’ and ‘Kathalo Rajakumari,’  probably wants to bounce back into the reckoning in a new avatar. Good move indeed!
