Awe director not interested in Queen Remake

“Queen” - one of the most popular movie in recent times, is the remake of Hindi hit Queen. The remake is being made in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The producers announced the title for the Telugu version as “That is Mahalakshmi.”

The project is taken by the director Prasanth Varma who amazed us with his direction in AWE movie. They confirmed the title and made some changes to script. But the producer has officially not announced the name of the director who is directing the Telugu version. The sources revealed that it is Prasanth Varma’s decision not to announce his name out. As he is the third director for this film and the film started under Neelakantan’s direction, the director is hoping that his name should not come in the titles.

After the exit of Neelakanta, Ramesh Aravind, the director for Tamil and Kannada version has worked for the Telugu version but due to heavy load of work, he called a quit. Let us see if there is going to be a formal confirmation regarding the director's name for the project.
