Sonu Sood is back in Tollywood
Almost afte more than three years, handsome B-town actor Sonu Sood will be returning to T-town to play a menacing villain opposite action hero Bellamkonda Srinivas in his upcoming untitled film for big banner A K Entertainments to be directed by Teja. “They were scouting for a capable actor who looks handsome as well as menacing and who could send shivers down the spine of his opponents in the film.
After browsing a few popular names, the makers zeroed in on Sonu Sood but nothing is finalised yet,” says a source, close to the unit. Actually, B-town actor was once popular for negative roles in T-town. As he took on the might of Mahesh Babu in `Dhookudu’, Allu Arjun in ‘Julayi’ and Nagarjuna in ‘Bhai’ but his enchanting performance as a chilling ghost in ‘Arundathi’ made him a house-hold name in two Telugu states as well as across South India.
“After playing mostly sophisticated baddy roles, Sonu Sood transforms into a evil `Aghora’ in ‘Arundhathi’ and proved his talent. His menacing look and performance terrified the audience as he matched strides with Anushka in the true-blue horror flick which helped his career to move a few notches up,” adds the source. Meanwhile, Sonu Sood turned a producer with ‘Devi’ and also busy doing Hindi, Kannada and Urdu movies. Welcome back Sonu Sood.
