The film ‘Tej’ with the tag line ‘I Love You’ with Sai Dharam Tej and Anupama Parameshwaran in the lead, is all set to release on Friday. It is being produced by K S Rama Rao under the banner of his Creative Commercials Movie Makers while A Karunakaran is the director.

Speaking at the pre-release function held in Hyderabad on Tuesday on a grand scale, Sai Dharam Tej said that he enjoyed every moment while working for the film which was beautifully picturised by director Karunakaran, who has been dishing out heart-warming love stories for the past 20 years. He thanked producer K S Rama Rao for offering him the lead role. Rama Rao never compromised on the quality of the film at any stage, he added. He said that the audience would definitely enjoy  the film.

In his speech, K S Rama Rao said that it was his good fortune to share the dais with great producers like Allu Aravind and C Ashwini Dutt though he does not have their calibre. He said that though Ashwini was younger to him in age, he learnt a lot by just observing their style of film making.  Ashwini Dutt even made films with the legendary N T Rama Rao while Allu Aravind was a meticulous planner who never wastes money unnecessarily and even created an army of producers, he added. If Chiranjeevi could establish himself as a megastar today,  the entire credit should go to Aravind for laying a strong foundation for the former’s career and no wonder, the megastar’s  family churned out 11 heroes, Rama Rao said.

Rama Rao said that he liked the storyline narrated to him by Karunakaran who also did a marvellous job directing it and the performance of Sai Dharam Tej was splendid. Allu Aravind, in his speech, said that though he started making films with Chiranjeevi first, it was K S Rama Rao who scored several musical hits with Chiranjeevi by roping in Ilayaraja. That’s why I am a little envious of Rama Rao’s style of film making and had to work very hard in competing with him, Aravind added.

After watching the trailer of the film, he was confidence that the film would become a super hit.      Producer Ashwini Dutt said that it was not correct to say that K S Rama Rao was inspired by my style of film making as he was only a school student when Rama Rao was an assistant director to K S Prakasa Rao. In fact, I used to learn a lot from Rama Rao and the music in his films was enchanting, he added.
