B-town beckons me, says Nagarjuna

Seasoned star Nagarjuna claims that he got a B-town offer and not the other way round. “They came up with this offer of a special role in ‘Brahmastra’ and I said yes, since I liked the role,” said the actor, during the promotion of ‘Chi La Sow’. “In fact, RGV wanted me to shift to B-town after ‘Shiva’ in the 1990s, but I wanted to settle down in the Telugu film industry. Although, I have been doing films in Tamil and Hindi once-in-a-while, because the roles were very interesting enough,” he adds.

He likes to promote novel films and chose to join hands with the producers of ‘Chi La Sow’. “Naga Chaitanya talked big about the film and showed me. I liked it and releasing the film since the new generation audience are patronising refreshing themes these days,” he points out. The actor-producer claims that his upcoming film ‘Devdas’ with Nani is not a tear-jerker, but a fun-centric movie. “Don’t be misled by the title, it is a full-fledged comic-caper and I liked Nani’s pure Telugu diction.

After this, I may do few more multi-starrers, if good scripts come my way,” he adds. On his upcoming projects, he adds, “Director Kalyan Krishna is working on the script of ‘Bangarraju’ so I am waiting for it. Other than that, I am spending a lot of time with family and friends,” he informs and adds “I am not doing any Malayalam film with Mammotty and the news making rounds regarding the same is false,” he concludes.
