Long and interesting journey of 'Geetha Govindam'

Sometimes, the script travels among so many heroes and finally settles with one. 'Geetha Govindam' also had a long journey before finally hitting the screens. Initially, Parasuram narrated the script to Bunny Vyas. They approached some star heroes who rejected it for some unknown reasons. So, they did 'Srirasthu Subhamastu' movie first. After that Bunny Vyas convinced Vijay with 'Geetha Govindam' who accepted unwillingly. 

The story got changed based on the stardom Vijay gained meanwhile with 'Pelli Choopulu' and Arjun Reddy'. Even before releasing the film they thought of releasing the movie after 'Taxiwala'. But after a lot of hard work, Vijay's father watched the movie and okayed it. 

Meanwhile, an assistant director claimed that they didn't use his script and the team convinced him by paying some amount. The sudden leakage scenes created another problem. Finally, 'Geetha Govindam' hit the screens today and is performing well at the box office.
