Mehreen Pirzada pockets `60 lakh?
Pretty actress Mehreen Pirzada has reportedly pocketed Rs 60 lakh for her newly-launched film with Sudheer Babu. Even though the actress featured in big flops like ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pantham, she didn’t mind demanding a fancy pay cheque and got it too. “It is true that Mehreen has pocketed the highest remuneration of her career.
With her role having enough significance on par with co-star Sudheer Babu, the makers didn’t mind coughing up the big sum,” says an industry source. Actually, the actress of ‘Raja The Great’ was drawing anywhere between Rs 35 to 40 lakh per film, but she received a revised pay which is more than 40% and laughing all the way to the bank.
“With dearth of actresses who are good looking as well as talented, Mehreen is minting money since she proved her worth in films like ‘Mahanubhavudu’, hence, a pay hike during a lean trot was possible,” the source adds. Undoubtedly, Mehreen joins the bandwagon of Raashi Khanna and Lavanya Tripathi who proved their acting credentials in films like ‘Tholi Prema’ and ‘Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy’ and bound to reap in dividends, if filmmakers pen some performance-driven roles. Nonetheless, the light-eyed diva has breached the Rs 50 lakh mark faster in her two year old career.
