Don’t tamper with Temper script, Vishal to team
Tamil star Vishal who does very few remakes, has chosen to remake the Telugu blockbuster ‘Temper’ in Tamil which was launched a few days ago. “Vishal told his team not to tamper with the script and screenplay, barring a few minor changes here and there, since he wants to retain the soul of the original film,” says a source from Chennai.
Even though, in the original, Jr NTR played a role with grey shades and as a foul-mouthed cop, Vishal wants to retain the ‘flavour’ of characterisation etched by director Puri Jagannath. “Vishal agreed to do the remake only for the bold characterisation of a cop who joins hands with criminal elements before redeeming himself after a dastardly incident and punishes the evil doers. Unlike the regular cop stories, where the hero is shown as an honest cop from the word go, Vishal was attracted to a cop who doesn’t mind corrupt ways,” the source adds.
Raashi Khanna who proved her mettle in blockbuster ‘Tholi Prema’, will be reprising the role Kaajal in the Tamil remake titled ‘Ayoyga..’’’. It also marks the debut of director Venkat Mohan and produced by Tagore Madhu. Actually, the Puri’ star-centric scripts gave many hits to Tamil stars like Vijay (Pokiri), Jayam Ravi (Amma Nanna Oka Tamil Ammai). Who said Puri’s scripts have lost the sheen? Think again!
