Star heroine Samantha has played the lead role in the upcoming female-oriented movie titled as U-Turn. The film is said to be a thriller that also got some horror and supernatural elements. 

On the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi festival, the makers released the movie which is currently the talk of the town. The film was made as a bilingual in both Telugu and Tamil languages. The movie competed with Sailaja Reddy Alludu at the box office and the review of the film is finally here. Check it out.

Story:

Rachana (Samantha) is an intern at Times of India. She has feelings for colleague Aditya (Rahul Ravindran). She wants to write a story about those who take U-Turns on RK Puram Flyover. As she goes more into the details of the subject she took up, she falls into a mess which results in her being associated with a murder case.

A cop Nayak (Aadi Pinisetty) tries to help her to come out of this case but he also loses his job. What is this special case about? What is happening to those who violate traffic rules? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Samantha played the role of a journalist in the movie which is very different for her in career so far. She did a complete justice for the character she played in the movie and she is perfect for the character. She did very well in the police station scenes and entertained with her variation. Her way of conceiving the character is just amazing. 

Aadi Pinisetty also played a different role in the movie and he entertained well in the film with his sincere performance. Rahul Ravindra played a key role in the film as Samantha's crush. The scenes between them have come out well. Rajshri Nair who played Samantha's mother is also impressive. Bhumika Chawla's entry is sensational in the movie and her screen presence added a lot of value to the movie.

Technical Aspects:

The director Pawan Kumar chose a realistic subject that will be connected well with all classes of the audiences. The actual story gets revealed only in the second half and it was maintained well. The writing is decent and few actors are very new to the Telugu audiences. 

The camera work is impressive in the film. The visuals are looking grand. The background score of the film by Poorna is outstanding as it elevated the mood of the movie perfectly. The editing is decent. The production values are grand.

Verdict:

The U-Turn sequences in the first half are filled with suspense and they keep the audiences stuck to their seats in the theatres. The concerning investigation scenes have also come out well. The director has delivered the right message in a proper way and it was not preachy.

The screenplay is gripping and it is the major highlight of the movie. The film is a gripping mystery thriller that is new to us. The subject and the way it was dealt with is completely impressive. Kudos to Samantha for coming up with a project like this. On the whole, the film certainly going to be a winner at the box office. Don't miss it.
