Karthikeya is back as Hippie

Karthikeya, the new youth icon, who created a sensation with the small budget film ‘RX 100’ is back again as ‘Hippie,’ bankrolled by noted producer and distributer Kalaipuli S Thanu jointly under the banners of Asian Cinemas and V Creations and helmed by T N Krishna. 

Speaking to the media in Hyderabad on Friday, director T N Krishna said that it was a romantic comedy and Karithikeya would  be shown in a new avatar. He said that there were two heroines and they were yet to be finalised. The shooting would be begin from October in Hyderabad, he added. 

Noted producer Kalaipuli S Thanu said that though he was in the Tamil film industry since 1985, he was thinking of making a Telugu film for a long time and after watching ‘RX 100’ he was impressed by Karthikeya’s performance and decided to make a film with him in the lead.  Karthikeya said that he was delighted to get an opportunity to act in a film under a big banner. Dhanu has bankrolled big ticket Tamil movies like ‘Thupakki’, ‘Therii’ and ‘Kabali’.
