Can Vijay Devarakonda surpass them?
Apart from Telugu, Vijay Devarakonda’s portrayal of a raw ‘Arjun Reddy’ gained him cult following in Tamil Nadu too. The collections of ‘Geetha Govindam’ in Chennai stands as an example for that. Now, he is trying to expand his market there will a straight Tamil film ‘NOTA’.
With the film being promoted aggressively there, the film managed to get good hype and stats of advance bookings were terrific. But the major challenge for Vijay is that, two crazy projects are getting released in the same weekend. Sensational star hero Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha’s ‘96’ released on 4th October with unanimous positive talk. The film is expected to rake huge amounts at box-office which may affect the result of ‘NOTA’. Along with ‘96’, a thriller film titled ‘Raakshasan’ is releasing on Friday. Talk for the premiers say that it is the best thriller in recent times.
If ‘NOTA’ has the content to withstand these films, it will be great. Otherwise, Vijay’s first straight Tamil outing may end up as a failure.
