Mahesh Babu cuts down action?
Even though fans and the Telugu audience expect more number of action sequences in superstar Mahesh Babu’s movies, the son of actor Krishna, will be reportedly indulging only in two action sequences in his upcoming film ‘Maharshi’. Already, the teaser introduced Mahesh’s character as Rishi who plays a college student with a bearded look, away from his clean-shaven look and it also marks the 25th film of Mahesh Babu.
Strictly going by the script, director Vamsi Paidipally has preferred only two slam-bang action episodes in this big-ticket campus-caper. “There will be only two action sequences in the film since it is a subject-driven entertainer. While the actor and director are thinking of adding another action episode to make it an action adventure, but nothing is finalized yet,” says an industry source. In fact, his softer look and backdrop of a college has discouraged Hindi film distributors to pay the fancy price of Rs 25 crore demanded by producers Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt.
“The Hindi film distributors insist on more action sequences. So, may be, the producers also want to incorporate more breath-taking actions,” the source adds. Glam diva Pooja Hegde plays the female in this film which is set to hit the screens on April 5, 2019. The film is produced under three major banners—Sri Venkateshwara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies and PVP Cinema. Music for the film has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
