Go slow on retro looks,’ Balayya told his team?
Seasoned star Balakrishna is reportedly unhappy with a series of first looks unveiled by the director and makers of his upcoming and much-hyped film ‘N.T.R’ on various occasions including the latest released ‘Gundamma Katha look’ with himself and Nitya Menon as Savitri in the picture. According to a reliable source, the actor-producer asked them, “Are we revealing too much and too early, thereby, robbing off the surprise and excitement elements of the film as we keep revealing all the looks and material leaving
almost nothing for the audience to wait for?”
Although, some of his looks-in saffron robes like his politician father, sharing a cigar with Sumanth(who plays ANR) during the black and white era and the much-appreciated ‘Vetagadu’ look triggered a lot of buzz and hype around the big ticket film, the scion of Nandamuri family wants to exercise some caution because he feels that it would be difficult to sustain the momentum till the film gets released in January. “We should hold back certain key retro looks and moments of my dad’s illustrious film career. Because many of his characters in movies are entrenched in the minds of Telugu viewers across the world, hence it is better to keep cards close to the chest,” he added.
