Dr Rajasekhar’s Arjuna to be revived?

Seasoned star Dr Rajasekhar who bounced back with a bang with ‘PSV Garuda Vega’, has teamed up with leading producer C Kalyan for a suspense thriller ‘Kalki’. During the course of their discussions as producer-actor, the former got to know about a film of the latter ‘Arjuna’ which was stuck in cans for four to five years and assured to revive the project and release it during this political season. 

“C Kalyan will be taking up the project and chalk out  plans to release it,” the source adds. Actually, ‘Arjuna’ is based on a political backdrop in which Rajasekhar is playing the dual role of father and son. “Rajasekhar will be playing the role of a farmer who works hard for the welfare of the people, while his son supports him and the emotional bonding between the two would be heart-touching,”  the source adds. 

The film directed by Kanmani will see the light of the day. Actually, Dr Rajasekhar was hailed as an angry-young man in the 1990’s with blockbusters like ‘Ankusam’, ‘Agraham’ and ‘Simharashi’ and also proved his acting chops in films like ‘Maa Aayana Bangaram’, ‘Suryudu’ and ‘Sivayya’ before hitting a lean patch. Meanwhile, his two daughters Shivani( Two States) and Shivatmika (Dorasani) are making their acting debut in T-town. Interestingly, the 75-films-old star will be vying with for his twin daughters for box-office honours in 2019.
