Nithya Menon To Play Jayalalitha in the Biopic

Marking the 2nd Year of Commemorating Day for Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha, who passed away on this same day (December 5), A Priyadhaarshini made the official announcement of the biopic on the great lady with Nithya Menon in the titular role.

Director A. Priyadhaarshini is all set to make a biopic on Jayalalitha and the project is titled, 'The Iron Lady'. The makers have now released the first look poster of the film. Nithya Menon would be essaying the role of the late Chief Minister, which is expected to showcase important incidents from the life of Jayalalitha.

A Priyadarshini will be making her directorial debut with this biopic. He released the official poster on social media. Actor Nithya Menen looks strikingly similar to the late politician in this poster, dressed exactly to resemble her early days in politics.

Produced by Chennai-based Papertale Pictures, the poster has the line ‘India’s Margaret Thatcher’.

A Priyadarshini, who had previously worked as an associate to director Mysskin, will be making her directorial debut with this biopic.
