Rajini back in his element

After receiving a mixed response for ‘2.0’, superstar Rajinikanth is ready with his next offering ‘Petta’ which is being dubbed into Telugu as well. The makers of the big budget film unveiled the teaser on the  occasion of the ‘Robot’ star’s  68th birthday on Wednesday to enthral his legion of fans. The 90-second teaser totally celebrates Rajinikanth, the Super Star, and his stardom, almost like a tribute to the most popular actor in the South. 

The teaser showcases Rajini rocking the screen in his dual avatars of a suave university professor and a handlebar moustache sporting village man. The action film is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures. The film also has Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Trisha, Simran, Megha Akash, Bobby Simha and others playing important roles. Anirudh Ravichander is the film’s music composer. We have to see whether Rajini can break his ‘jinx’ in Tamil Nadu and deliver a blockbuster like in the past because duds like ‘Kaala’ have dented his ratings.
