Reigning star Ram Charan Tej is flying high these days. Given that, ace producer D V V Danayya is reportedly planning to do business on his film ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ for more than Rs 120 crore including the digital and satellite rights to create a new record in pre-release business in T-town.

“The heady combination of Ram Charan and Boyapati Srinu has given the film a big edge and with looks, teaser and trailers taking the internet by storm,  the  distributors are willing to dig deep into their pockets since the theatrical rates alone are pegged at more than Rs 85 crore besides another Rs 35 crore including Rs  22 crore for acquiring the Hindi dubbing rights, overseas and others,” says a distributor.

No doubt, Ram Charan’ stocks are soaring, because his last film ‘Rangasthalam’ turned out to be a record-breaking hit. Hence, distributors are betting big on the son of the megastar once again. “Right now, Ram Charan’s career is at its peak since he is exploring different type of roles. After playing a rustic youth, he will be seen as an angry urban guy in Boyapati’s film, thus raising high expectations,” the distributor adds.

According to sources, even Boyapati Srinu’s brand has added value to the big-ticket production since the director is known for high-octane action films like ‘Legend’ and ‘Sarrainodu’. "The recent spike in Hindi dubbing and digital rights have come as a boon for Telugu cinema along with rising overseas and satellite rights for star-studded movies. We will hear more of Rs 100 crore projects in the coming days,"
he concludes.
