Manikarnika Literally Demanded My Blood Says Kangana Ranaut

 From Acting to Direction, Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut has shown grit and hard work for her forthcoming drama Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi. The trailer for the film is out and actress talks about the subject, blood and sweat went into making the film.

Leading Lady Kangana Ranaut graced the Trailer Launch of Manikarnika, yesterday with her entire cast and crew. The actress confirmed the rumors about directing the film and also shared her experience.

She said, “It is a special film for all of us because the subject of the film is little jinxed. See a lot of people have tried to make this film before but…and I truly believe there is some goddess power working here, which really ask for blood. On the very first day of the shoot, my colleague accidentally hit the sword straight in my head and I got 20 stitches. After that, our director left the film halfway, and everyone started contemplating what do to now?  We were looking at various options, and Prasoon sir urged me to direct the film”

Further adding Kangana said she was calm on the surface about directing the film but inside she felt like duck learning how to paddle.

She said, “Honestly I was not ready to direct the film. When we starting shooting with so much action and horses and what not, I was like a duck paddling beneath the surface I looked very calm but it was all too much for me”

The movie is slated to hit the cinema halls on 25th January 2019, the film will loggerheads with Hrithik Roshan starring Super 30 and Emraan Hashmi starring Cheat India.

Talking about the clash and release dates, Kangana said, “There was no pressure from the makers to release on this particular date but the sentiment, I mean these people sacrificed their lives for the freedom; we needed to honor that equally. So either it was Republic Day or Independence Day release”

The film also stars Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, Jisshu Sengupta as Gangadhar Rao, Richard Keep as General Hugh Rose, Suresh Oberoi as Bajirao II, Danny Denzongpa as Ghulam Ghaus Khan, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi as Puran Singh, Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkaribai and Yash Tonk as Rao Tula Ram.

The film hits the cinema halls on 25th Jan 2019.
