Working with Netflix had made producing content the best job says Anil Kapoor
Anil Kapoor says working with Netflix has changed his perception of the production job, he says it doesn't feel like a thankless job, but the best one.
Anil Kapoor, who has backed Netflix's forthcoming show "Selection Day", interacted with media on Tuesday at the show's premiere.
Talking about working with Netflix, he said, "Earlier I used to feel that production is a thankless job. In our family, my father, my elder brother and I have produced many films. After working with Netflix on this show, I feel that production is no longer a thankless job, but it's the best job. When you are working with them, nothing gets bigger than that,"
"I think Netflix is a brilliant platform for Indian actors and technicians to show off their capabilities to the entire world," Kapoor added.
Anil also said they have more projects to discuss in future and he looks forward to collaborating more.
Selection Day is the second Netflix Original releasing from India. When asked about the series Anil said, "Cricket is in the backdrop of this show, but overall it is a coming-of-age story about two brothers and the beautiful bonding between the two. I can say that it's about the dream of father and his kids.
"There are some parents who want to fulfill their own dreams through their children and there are kids who don't want to listen to their father when it comes to choosing a career. So, all these things are there in this show."
Others present at the 'Selection Day' premiere were, Kabir Khan, Akshay Oberoi, Sanya Malhotra, Rhea Kapoor, Samir Kochhar, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Farah Khan, Pawan Malhotra, Dalip Tahil, Rajesh Tailang, Yash Dholye and Mohammad Samad.
Selection Day will be screened on December 28 in more than 190 countries.
