Mere Pyare Prime Minister Releases in March Says Rakeysh Mehra
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Hindi film Mere Pyare Prime Minister will be released on March 8, the filmmaker announced on social media.
The filmmaker Rakeysh took to his Twitter and dropped the new poster along with the release date. He wrote, “Date: 8th March 2019...Arzi to, Mere Pyare Prime Minister...Regards, @ROMPPictures @PenMovies @jayantilalgada #Gulzar @OmKanojiya1 @AnjaliPOfficial @ShankarEhsanLoy #MerePyarePM”
The film stars Anjali Patil and it talks about open defecation and sanitation. The plot revolves around four children living in a Mumbai slum. One of them wants to build a toilet for his single mother and makes an appeal to the Prime Minister.
The film is about an eight-year-old boy who writes to the Prime Minister about the problems of open defecation he faces. The film was produced with the help of money gathered from several Non-Governmental Organisations, as Mehra mentioned in his previous interviews that it a film 'based on a social issue'.
The screenplay of Mere Pyare Prime Minister has been co-written by Mehra along with Hussain Dalal, and Manoj Mairta.
The music has been composed by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy.
