Puri Jagannath to direct Ram

#BIG-IMAGE##After duds like ‘Rogue’ and ‘Paisa Vasool,’ director Puri Jagannath is teaming up with young actor Ram for an action entertainer. Even though, rumours about the actor-director joining hands have been making rounds, Puri confirmed the project on Tuesday and claimed it to be an ‘exciting’ collaboration. The Puri-Ram movie is going to be an action entertainer in typical Puri style, while Ram would be sporting a new raw look in this yet to be launched movie. The film will be produced under the banner of Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies. The film’s regular shooting will begin in January and the film will be releasing in May, 2019. Actress Charmi Kaur will co-produce the film.

With young directors breathing down his neck, Puri has to bounce back with this film, since his ratings have taken a beating in recent times. His last big hit was ‘Temper’ with Jr NTR which is now being remade in Hindi as ‘Simmba’. On the other hand, Ram, who is known for his lover boy roles films like ‘Nenu Sailaja’ will be going for a makeover to fit in the action-centric role.
