Chiranjeevi has a worthy son, says KTR
The big budget action entertainer, ‘Vinaya Vidhya Rama’ with Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles is being bankrolled by D V Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainments and helmed by Boyapati Srinu.
The pre- release function of the movie was held in Hyderabad on Thursday. Releasing the audio cassettes, TRS working president K T Rama Rao, who was the chief guest on the occasion, heaped praises on megastar Chiranjeevi who came up the hard way in life through ‘Swayam Krushi’ and found a permanent place in the hearts of thousands of fans and a big asset to not only the Telugu film industry but also to the entire Indian film industry. Moreover, Chiranjeevi was also a proud father as he has a worthy son like Ram Charan, who also excelled as an actor, KTR added. He said that Ram Charan’s performance in ‘Rangasthalam’ was excellent. He used one of the songs of ‘Rangasthalam’ “Aagattununtava Ee gattukostava,” during electioneering.
In his speech, Chiranjeevi said that as an actor, he would always be indebted to his millions of fans who were still supporting him even after forty years in the film industry. He said that his last film ‘Khaidi No 150’ became a superhit and this shows the affection he enjoys among his fans though the film came after a long gap after his return from politics. Another feather in his cap was Ram Charan who made him a proud father, he added. Chiranjeevi thanked KTR for gracing the function, in spite of his busy schedule. He said that he was proud of the fact that he and KTR were bench mates once in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly. KTR was very friendly and soft spoken, he added.
Ram Charan said that KTR was a highly inspiring leader and was extremely proud of the fact that he was his friend. He said that he agreed to do the role after listening to the script narrated by Boyapati Srinu, who was a very disciplined director. Director Boyapati Srinu said that he was extremely delighted to see two worthy sons of their great fathers, KTR and Ram Charan, on the same dais. Kiara Advani said that she was very proud to be on the same stage along with great people like Chiranjeevi and KT Rama Rao. It was dream come true to act with Ram Charan, she added. The film is all set to hit the screens during the Sankranti festival next month.
