Soulful Performance By Neena Gupta In The Last Colors Says Vikas Khanna
Vikas Khanna's directorial debut "The Last Color" is set to have its world premiere at the 30th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival 2019, he hails veteran actress Neena Gupta for a Soulful performance.
The Michelin star chef had given a glimpse of the film's first look at the Cannes Film Festival last year. Now, Khanna shares a sneak-peek teaser from the film and hails Neena Gupta’s performances.
He wrote, “A soulful performance by @Neenagupta001! NOOR, a white-clad widow who suffers a life of total abstinence. She is disallowed from taking part in festivities, especially Holi. Her last wish: play Holi like Radha. #TheLastColor World Premiere, Jan 4th &5th at @PSFilmFest”
The Last Color stars Neena Gupta in the lead role of a widow of Vrindavan. The film will be screened thrice during the Palm Springs International Film Festival, being held from January 3-14, 2019. It is under the competition category New Voices New Vision.
The film is the screen adaptation of Chef Vikas Khanna’s novel The Last Color, which follows the friendship between a young tight-rope walker and a widow named Noor in Vrindavan. The duo yearns to play with colours on the occasion of Holi, but Noor and the other widows are held back by tradition.
