The Fakir Of Venice Is A Quirky Tale Says Farhan Akhtar
Actor Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor starring film ‘Fakir Of Venice’ gets a new release date and trailer. The makers have locked on 18th January 2019release.
Farhan Akhtar dropped the release date and new trailer on his Twitter profile. He captioned it “The Fakir of Venice’ finally arrives in theatres 18th of Jan. Here’s the trailer of this quirky tale. Hope you like it”
Farhan Akhtar plays the role of a man, who has been hired to find a Fakir who will bury himself in the sand for an installation project and Annu plays the intriguing slum dweller-turned-Fakir, who is alcoholic and will do anything for a quick buck.
The duo cons the European art world successfully. It is the story of a strange relationship - a relationship between two characters who are brought together to carry out a deception. To pull it off, however, they must learn to shed the layers of deceit, and move towards understanding themselves, and each other.
Directed by Anand Surapur and written by Rajesh Devraj, the film looks like a subtle fun ride. The film is releasing almost after a decade of its making due to production issues.
The film was originally scheduled to release in 2009 and would have marked the debut of Farhan Akhtar in Bollywood. However, production issues dragged on the film for almost ten years now.
Helmed by Anand Surapur and produced by Punit Desai, the music of the film is directed by mastero A.R. Rahman. The dialogues, story and screenplay of the film is penned by Rajesh Devraj. The film is slated to release on January 18, 2019.
