Makers still uncertain of Mahanayakudu's release
NTR Kathanayakudu, which was a dream project for both Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Krish, was released amidst huge anticipation January 9. Everyone thought it would be recreating the life of legend beautifully on a cine-canvas. But alas, the film turned out to be a narcissistic feast of Nandamuri family which resulted in its massive failure.
Kathanayakudu incurred a loss of more than Rs. 50 crores to the makers. This has now made the release of its second part, Mahanayakudu more uncertain. Mahanayakudu was earlier supposed to hit the screens on February 8. But due to the failure of Kathanayakudu, makers wanted to make some changes in the second part and release it on February 14.
Now, it is still doubtful whether it will arrive on the 14th as well. Apparently, the distributors, who are in heavy losses are not ready to take up the film, even given at a lesser price. Thus makers are now finding various ways to sell the film in order to release it on the announced date.
