Sudhanshu Pandey arrives in T-town
The import of B-town baddies goes on unabated in T-town. The latest to join the bandwagon is Sudhanshu Pandey, who was seen in Hindi movies like ‘Singh is Kinng,’ ‘Siyaasat,’ and ‘Chooriyan’, is all set to take on hotshot Ram in his upcoming action film ‘Ismart Shankar’. “He plays the main villain and is portraying a well-defined but menacing role. Even his conflict with protoganist is unique and interesting,” says a source, close to the unit.
No doubt, Puri Jagannath has given meaty roles to baddies in his films like ‘Pokiri,’ ‘Temper,’ and ‘Businessman.’ “Sudhanshu was last seen in a special in role in Rajini’s 2.0’ and now he is making his debut in Telugu with a big commercial film. Sudhanshu also worked with Hollywood superstar Jackie Chan in ‘The Myth,’ the source adds.
Just recently, B-town star Vivek Oberoi played a villain in ‘Vinaya Vidhaya Rama’ and this year also marks the comeback of Sonu Sood with ‘Seetha’ because the latter was once most-sought-after baddy in T-town after hits like ‘Arundhati’ and ‘Julayi’. Others like Rahul Dev, Jackie Shroff, Mahesh Manjrakar and Milind Sonam also took on the might of Telugu stars and made pots of money. With baddies being paid anywhere between Rs 1 to 2 crore per film, Sudhanshu has arrived at the right time.
