Akshay Kumar Unveils Kesari Posters

Superstar Akshay Kumar is returning to his most loved and iconic “Sardar” avatar on-screen with forthcoming historical period drama Kesari, unveils back to back two new posters and trailer will follow soon.

Actor Akshay Kumar shared the first poster with the caption, “Unraveling the pages of history to the bravest battle ever fought. #GlimpsesOfKesari from tomorrow, are you ready? #Kesari @ParineetiChopra @SinghAnurag79 @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @SunirKheterpal @DharmaMovies #CapeOfGoodFilms @iAmAzure @ZeeStudios_”

On the poster, Akshay Kumar is all dressed up in military uniform and ready with his sword to ward off the invaders. The film is based on 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikhs (now the 4th battalion of the Sikh Regiment), who were stationed at an army post and were attacked by around 10,000 Afghans. The Sikhs, led by Havildar Ishar Singh, chose to fight to the death, in what is considered by some military historians as one of history's greatest last-stands.

Akshay Kumar dropped the second poster with the caption, “Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari, jo bahega mera woh lahoo bhi Kesari, aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead role and it is slated for 21st March 2019 release.
