Banita Sandhu To Make Tamil Debut with Arjun Reddy Remake

After making her Bollywood debut with Varun Dhawan in critically acclaimed October, actress Banita Sandhu is all set to enter Tamil industry with an official remake of super hit Arjun Reddy.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on social media. He tweeted, “CONFIRMED... #October leading lady Banita Sandhu to star in #Tamil remake of #ArjunReddy... Dhruv Vikram, son of Chiyaan Vikram, to essay the title role”

Banita Sandhu of October fame is Dhruv Vikram’s new pair in the Tamil version of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Earlier, Megha Chowdhury played Dhruv’s pair in the remake which was directed by Bala.

As the film’s producer Mukesh Ratilal Mehta of E4 Entertainment was not satisfied with Bala’s version, he decided to scrap the film and restart the remake from the scratch.

Arjun Reddy’s director Sandeep Vanga’s associates will direct the remake now and an official announcement will be made very soon.

The makers are planning to release the new version of the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy in June 2019. Currently, the production house is busy finalizing the rest of the cast and crew of the film.

Interestingly, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani are already making a Hindi remake of the film, which is helmed by Sandeep.
