Actors take most of the credit but filmmaking is a team effort says Swara Bhaskar
Swara Bhaskar says even though actors take most of the credit it is important that everyone remembers there are thousands of people working behind the camera.
Swara Bhaskar interacted with media at the 2nd day of Act Fest in Mumbai. Other artists present at the ActFest were Sumeet Vyas, Vicky Kaushal, Ali Agar, Sakshi Tanwar and more.
When talking about filmmaking and the people who talk about taking credit in the industry Swara said, "Whoever thinks filmmaking is about one person or themselves is either lying or delusional, filmmaking is a team effort. It's not just the people who you see on camera or read the names of in paper. The fact is the labor of so many working-class people goes into making films is unimaginable. There are art departments, light teams, spot teams, production teams there are so many people involved. If you remove even one team from the crew we will not be able to shoot for that day.
We must all be aware and think, especially actors because we hog the most credit. And at times I think we do the least amount of work and get the most privileges. But we need to be aware of the fact that all the work that goes into filmmaking is not yours but thousands of other people." she added.
Asked to comment on CINTAA's initiative to kick start the ActFest dedicated to actors and other members in the film industry, Swara said, "I think this is an amazing initiative and CINTAA needs to be congratulated and appreciated for providing this platform for actors. It is very important for actors to be able to meet people from the same industry in different roles and be able to talk to them. So this is an amazing place and time for new actors and I wish CINTAA my very best to keep going."
Swara was last seen in the 'Veer Di Wedding' alongside, Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and more.
