Help the Families Rather than Creating Havoc Says Hema Malini
Veteran actress and BJP MP, Hema Malini says there is no need to create havoc just to show off, if someone really wants to help than support the families of martyrs of Pulwama district.
Hema Malini was interacting with media at the premiere of her daughter Esha Deol’s film Cakewalk here in Mumbai.
Talking about the groups calling for ban and creating havoc in the wake of terror attack on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers, which took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district claiming 42 lives and 38 severely injured.
Hema Malini said, “Don’t try and do something just to show off. If you really want to give something, show some emotions, then go to those people’s house and meet their families. Even I am attached to many such families in Mathura, who are farmers and their sons are martyred in the line of duty. So I know the feeling, so people go to them and try and help them, such as financial support and one must donate, there is no need to create havoc”
The short film, Cakewalk is a directorial debut of journalist-turned-filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee starring Esha Deol.
Hema Malini also expressed that the premiere couldn’t have been pushed and her heart goes out to the families of martyred soldiers.
She said, “I really feel bad about the incident which took place two days ago. I even called up organizers so many times whether there will be a program or not, but they told me that everything is fixed, the date is fixed and it is hard to move it”
“It’s a sad moment for the entire nation, that our young and bright soldiers are killed in such a bad manner. I am a member of parliament from Mathura; I know a lot of young kids are martyred in the line of duty from my city; my heart goes out for them”
Hema Malini also added that Prime Minister will take a firm decision to curb the issue of terrorism. She said, “He will take a very firm decision, I am happy that I am MP from Mathura under his regime, and he will be taking a wonderful decision, how to face these terror attacks”
