Vicky Kaushal says the Pulwama terror attack that claimed the lives of 49 CRPF troopers last week in Jammu and Kashmir is not something that should be forgotten or forgiven.

Vicky interacted with media at the 2nd day of Act Fest in Mumbai. Other artists present at the ActFest were Sumeet Vyas, Swara Bhaskar, Shreyas Talpade, Ali Agar, Sakshi Tanwar and more.

Talking about the Pulwama attack Vicky said, "It is very easy to stand here and say something, but for someone who has very little knowledge about defense I shouldn't say stuff. there are a lot of repercussions to think about too. Someone who is more capable and qualified than me in government is actually talking about what should be done in this situation.

I think they will find what's best for the country. But yes that pain and anger we are feeling as a country is something we should remember. This act of terror should not be forgotten and forgiven. Yes, it very important that we retaliate and answer in some manner. We should take this very seriously and it is time we start giving back." he added.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) in India on Sunday said filmmakers will not be allowed to release their films in Pakistan nor will they let Pakistani artist work in the industry.

When asked if this is the right decisions to be taken as an industry, Vicky said, "The most important thing for us is our country's people and soldiers. Nobody or nothing else can be more important."

URI directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala stars Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam. Kirti Kulhari, and Mohit Raina.

The film released on 11th Jan 2019.
