No takers for Dev's satellite rights

Actor Karthi is a well-known star in both Tamil and Telugu industries. The actor has a good market in the two film circles. Thus, even though his last film Chinnababu failed to perform well at the box office, that didn't affect the pre-release business of his latest movie Dev.

Dev did a decent pre-release business in the Telugu states. The movie was released in a good number of theatres as well. Apparently, a couple of TV channels has offered to pay around Rs. 4 to 4.5 crores for the satellite deal. But, the producers who thought the amount was quite less, had put the deal on hold.

But the scene changed after the movie had hit the theatres. It became one of the biggest disasters in the career of Karthi. Right from the first show, it got a unanimous negative talk everywhere. The TV channels which offered a huge pay a few days back are now not willing to pay even Rs. 50 lakhs. Thus, the producers landed up in trouble due to their greed.
