Chopped body stuffed in gunny bags found
Hyderabad: The body of an unidentified woman, chopped into pieces, were found in two gunny bags near Botanical Garden between Kondapur and Gachibowli Road (IT Corridor) on Tuesday morning.
According to the police, after being alerted by the residents of Sri Ram Nagar who found blood coming out of the bags, they rushed to the spot and began investigation. The body, which was stuffed into two gunny bags, was found by the locals around 9 am. The police recovered the body from the spot and collected evidence from the scene.
While one bag contained the severed head and hands, the other one was stuffed with torso. The woman is believed to be married and 8-months pregnant and aged between 22 and 30. She was wearing Punjabi dress and was also wearing bangles.
The police are also looking at the CCTV footage to ascertain if any vehicle passed the area during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. The body has been taken to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy after a case was registered. “The murder seems to have happened in the morning as the blood was gushing out of the bag,” a police officer said.
