4 held in minor girl rape case
Adilabad: Acting swiftly, Adilabad Police on Monday cracked the gang-rape case of a minor girl, arresting all the four accused within 12 hours of the incident.
The DSP K Narsimha Reddy said that they have arrested four accused – Rathod Sanjeev of Indravelli, Kalluri Vishal of Utnoor, Kandralvar Vijaya Prakash and Gandrathvar Santhosh who raped a minor girl.
According to the DSP, Rathod Sanjeev called a minor girl and made her to believe that her friend (another local girl) wanted to meet her at Star Medical Stores in the town. The four picked up the girl in a car and took her to the farmhouse of Santhosh, located on Landasangi Road. The girl was let off after the four accused allegedly raped her.
Later, the girl, who called the police on ‘100’, lodged a complaint with them. The police led by Inspector V Suresh swung into action and launched a manhunt based on the details given by the victim. The girl was sent to RIMS Hospital for medical checkup. Within 12 hours of the complaint, the police arrested the four accused and recovered the car.
