19-year-old student commits suicide

​Hyderabad: A 19-year-old engineering student allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Maisammaguda under the limits of the Petbhasheerabad police station on Wednesday. 

The deceased was identified as B Rajashekar, a native of Sadasivapalle of Medak district. He was pursuing engineering third year in St Peter's Engineering College.  Rajashekar’s cousin brother saw him hanging from the ceiling and alerted the neighbours. 

The victim reportedly made calls to his friends before resorting to the extreme step, police said.  “We have registered a case and investigation is on to ascertain the reasons behind his suicide,” said K Goutham, Sub-inspector of police, Petbhasheerabad. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for an autopsy.
