Five of a robber gang arrested

​Hyderabad: The Narsingi police on Friday arrested five members of a gang of who were allegedly involved in robberies, extortions and thefts. The accused were also involved in several chain snatching incidents, the police said. 

The accused were involved in 10 cases among which six alone under Narsingi police station limits, the police said. The accused earlier on pretext of asking a favour to get dropped on two-wheelers, used to rob motorists. They also had expertise in robberies, chain snatchings and theft of other valuables from commuters, the police said.

The arrested persons have been identified as Sherugudam Shiva Kumar (21), resident of Tangator village of Ranga Reddy district, Kothapally Dinesh Reddy (20), resident of Chilkur village of Ranga Reddy district, Annavaina Bharath Kumar (24), resident of Chilkur village, Moinabad mandal, Syed Wajeed (23), resident of Shankarpally of Ranga Reddy district, Bisikunda Jagadish (18), resident of Kismathpur Village, Gandipet mandal, according to a police release.
