Man booked for sexually abusing minor daughters
Patancheru: A man from Odisha, who has been sexually abusing his teenage daughters for the last two years, was booked by the Patancheru police on Tuesday. According to sources, the accused Gadha Das, a labourer from Odisha, came to Isnapur village with his family, including his wife, two daughters and a younger son one year ago and was working at a private firm.
The accused has been sexually and physically abusing his two daughters, one studying in Class 10 and another Class 8 at government school in Isnapur village in Patancheru mandal, for the last two years. He even threatened his wife and the girls with dire consequences if they disclosed his heinous acts to anyone.
However, the issue came to the light when one of the girls, unable to bear the torture, narrated her ordeal to the headmistress of her school, who in turn called the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and Integrated Child Development Services officials and informed the issue.
On receiving complaint from the victims, the ICDS officials, after conducting enquiry with their team, lodged a complaint with the Patancheru police seeking legal action against the accused.
They later sent the girls to the children’s rescue home, Bala Sadan, at Sangareddy. Women and Child Protection Officer at ICDS at Sangareddy Rathnam said they were seeking strict action against the accused.
The ICDS officials, who are in talks with the District Collector regarding the girls’ safety, said that the accused was booked under IPC Section 354, 376 and POCSO Act 2012.
