Woman, family held for jewellery theft in Hyderabad

 Hyderabad: A woman was arrested on Sunday after being noticed by the police while stealing jewellery from the public at Saroor Nagar. 

Mehar Munneesa (37), who robbed jewellery from a few women was noticed by the cops following which she agreed to have committed crime. On questioning, the woman also disclosed the names of his mother Rashida Begum (70) and brother Syed Mohammad (25) over which 40 theft cases were registered in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The police also arrested the trio and recovered Rs 15,000 cash and Rs 1 lakh worth gold ornaments. The three would target the women at temples, schools and shopping malls and rob the jewellery.
