SI caught taking bribe red-handed
Hyderabad: A sub-inspector working in Maheswaram Police station was caught by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths when he was accepting Rs 80,000 bribe on Thursday.ACB officials said that, a complaint was received by the Maheshwaram police from a local regarding his lost cattle of five buffaloes and in the same case three persons named Raju, Naser and Arshad were taken into custody.
Later in the investigation by SI Narasimhulu it was found that accused were Raju and Naser who sold the stolen cattle to Arshad. Though the SI G Narasimhulu of Maheshwaram police station knew the accused, he demanded Rs 80,000 as bribe from Arshad. The ACB sleuths laid trap and caught the accused SI red-handed on Thursday, when he was receiving Rs 80,000 at Maheshwaram police station.
