Inter-state burglary gang busted in Cyberabad

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police on Saturday claimed to have busted an inter-state burglary gang which broke into an Amazon warehouse recently in Kompally under Petbasheerabad police station limits and stole 120 high-end mobiles, all worth about Rs 16 lakhs. During a joint operation with SOT of Balanagar, the Petbasheerabad police arrested five out of seven suspects.

The arrested are  Mohammed Sirajuddin (25), Abdul Mallik (20), Mohhamed Mukibur Rehman (20), Mohammed Rafiqul Hussain (48) and Sanjay Kumar Nath (34). Two other suspects Arif Ali and Santu Haque are at large. According to Police, all the accused persons involved in this crime came to Kompally and Medchal area for their livelihood and were working as labourers and security guards in different firms and warehouses. The accused hatched a plan and committed theft of mobile phones.

“The police had nabbed the accused persons Sirajuddin and Mukibur Rehman in Assam and brought them to Cyberabad on transit warrant. They also arrested Abdul Malik, Rafiqul Hussain and Sanjay Kumar Nath in Kompally and Medchal areas and recovered a total of 61 mobile phones worth Rs 8.05 lakh from the arrested accused persons and efforts are being made to nab the other two Arif Ali and Santu Haque who are absconding,” said the police officials.
