DAV school launches cleanliness drive
Vijayawada: To promote PM Narendra Modi’s cleanliness drive, DAV Public school, Vijayawada’ NCC 4A girls Wing launched a campaign on ‘segregation of dry and wet garbage’ in Kondapalli village to tackle the rising garbage disposal issues in the village. With the efforts made by the NCC Care Taker,. Sheeba Joseph, the NCC 4 ANDHRA GIRLS BN put forth the funds to buy the dustbins.
Initiating the programme, Principal TRK Reddy flagged and the NCC girls marched ahead enthusiastically and conducted a rally with placards reflecting slogans on the importance of cleanliness and a door-to-door campaign to bring awareness on using the dustbins for wet and dry garbage separately.
The cadets explained vividly to the people how to use the dustbins for the dry and wet waste separately, and to keep their surroundings, pleasant, clean and free from mosquitoes and disease causing germs. The village Sanitary Inspector A Rama Rao, E O Shivaji and Assistant E O Siva Kumari followed the programme.
The Principal appreciated the NCC girls Care Taker Sheeba Joseph for her endeavours. K V Lakshmi Kantham, School In-Charge, and the Maths faculty V Siva Parvathi, participated in the programme and made it success.
